Who we are
Sachi Kishore Das is a full-time monk currently residing at Bhaktivedanta Manor. Following his graduation from Queen Mary, where he gained a BSc in Computer Science and Maths, he travelled around India, inspired most of all by its rich spiritual heritage. Visiting many spiritually potent sites, he returned to the UK six years ago to take to the monastic lifestyle on a full-time basis.
Sachi has been involved in various projects including giving presentations at universities and colleges across the country, overseeing and developing multifarious youth projects and offering the Vedic knowledge to various communities across the UK. He has also been central in the organisation of various festivals, including 'Janmastami' which takes place in August/September and attracts in excess of 70,000 people to the grounds of Bhaktivedanta Manor. He has also put his scholarly tendencies to good use after being very much inspired by the Vedic writings, undertaking a close study of the Bhagavad-gita and Srimad-Bhagavatam amongst other works by Srila Prabhupada.
